I still consider it kinda a design flaw that you can do this
@tay free hand warmer and pocket fire
@tay You can also stack them infinitely in series for more oomph
@tay what do you mean, this is the best part
@tay place a bar of graphite
@tay please cw this as frotting /j
@tay
:neobattery_explode::neobattery_explode:
@tay do they draw and short circuit or is it stable and nothing happens?
@firecoals they short, and get super hot

@tay Looks like an idea for an unrealistic action movie.

Car chase. Hero does this and throws it into the enemys car. It starts to burn excessively like thermite or something and the enemy car drifts from the road and the hero wins the chase.

@tay yes, it is a design flaw!
@kkarhan @tay Idk, it's kinda like a natural fork bomb. First thing you can do that is highly destructive as a child.
@codeofamor @tay modern zinc-coal ones at least don't explode violently...
@kkarhan @tay I did it once as a child and immediately realised the error. I am, at my core, against waste.
@tay Infinite power!!!!
@0xF21D @tay how else would you recharge your batteries? :D
#PerpetuumMobile
@0xF21D @tay ok, maybe it's more the opposite, a reverse #PerpetuumMobile :-)
@tay You mean pocket warmers?
@tay Perpetual energy!
@tay Ah yes, hand warmer configuration
@tay you like kissing batteries don't you
@tay but they taste so good!
@mgleadow @tay which is your favourite, lickium batteries or nibble-cobalt
@tay Hey... I thought this was a FAMILY channel!
@tay Clearly, they should have moved the terminals just a little farther apart 😉
@tay
Absolutely agree. Battery with built-in incendiary grenade function.
@tay One of my past bits was to plug two dead 9V together and quickly toss them to a nearby friend. The freakout was always amusing!
@tay It's a feature not a bug.
@tay Why DID they make the battery terminals identical to the sockets they would be plugged into?
@tay it's a hand warmer :)
@tay but if you stagger them, then you can also get a lot of them and chain them together into a massive battery without any wires :3 (i know ive seen a video of someone doing this but i can't remember where to find it...)

@tay I did that as a kid and thought nothing of it, other than it was neat how they fit together.

Was woken up in the middle of the night by a burning smell and a fizzing noise coming from the batteries I’d left connected 😳

@tay Ahh, things designed in the late 1950's kind of have a certain flair to them, don't they?
@tay I see it more as a feature: combination hand warmer & fire starter.
@tay Oh come on that's a feature! It's the built-in pocket warmer.
