Everyone in the US who voted for Donald, everyone in the US who stayed home, everyone who said "they're both the same", everyone who spent months being useful idiots for the fascist party's enthusiasm suppression agitprop by amplifying attacks and attacking Biden and then Harris -- you own this. You are responsible.

There was no higher priority in 2024 than preventing the election of a man who never wanted to govern and only wanted to rule. I fucking warned you, and so many of you blew me off.

@tclark

I would first begin by damning the #US #Democrats for giving good people of morality cause to not vote at all in the last election by continuing to support the #genocide in #Palestine and failing to recognise let alone protect the human rights of innocent humans.

Some might even say they’re truly the ones responsible for this US tradition of committing foreign atrocities becoming domestic. #RIP #USA

@jeremy_pm @tclark

Oh they suck for not doing more, but this is on 3rd party voters and non voters just like it was back in 2016. So is all the deaths that have happen and will happen because of USAID being dismantled.

So stop trying to say they didn't want to vote for genocide, because they still voted for it, racial cleansing, concentration camps, secret police and every other thing that Trump and Maga do.

@Kals_Els @tclark

Why is it so difficult for people to understand who is truly responsible for USA’s demise?

To blame those who can’t morally bring themselves to vote for the murder and starvation of innocent human beings rather than blaming the murderous regime of either side of the US government will continue to justify US military barbarity and are destined to continue supporting USAs moral decay and continued decline into obliviation.

You only have to witness the gnashing of teeth at Zohran Mamdani winning NYC mayoral primary from Democrats to understand that there’s no us and them when it comes to the poison that is US politics.

@jeremy_pm @tclark

It's not that difficult to understand, but the way forward isn't to allow fascist to take over and kill more people. It's to keep them out and vote in people like Mamdani to replace the aging party members and actually work towards the type of government we want.

So yes, everything that has happen since Trump took office again is on 3rd party and none voters as much as it's on us democrats. As no matter who you voted, you were still voting for genocide in Gaza.

@Kals_Els @tclark

I appreciate you're young and idealistic but human nature is such that if your govt is banning its own progressive, peace or Muslim candidates from speaking at its party convention but continues to cut public spending as to prioritise ongoing funding of a demonic genocide... people aren't gonna vote for you.

In a democracy nobody owns your vote. Sometimes to bring about the change that's needed things have to hit rock bottom.

Look up the great depression.

@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark I'm not young and think purists who wouldn't vote for Harris sold us out. She was not perfect, but if she was president right now, she wouldn't have axed USAID and there wouldn't be 14 million deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million deaths of children and babies under the age of 5 because of cut aid. She wouldn't have cut Medicaid and the ACA in the US, which is going to result in deaths here. And so on. What is happening in Gaza is horrible but it's only a small part of a global picture. People who voted for Trump or third party based on that one issue not only actually made things worse in Gaza, they voted for millions more deaths around the world.

@Jennifer

Sure, so why aren't you asking why so many people didn't want to or chose not to vote for Democrats in 2024?

Zohran Mamdani is not only a Democrat but an Indian Muslim socialist yet he smashed it out of the park, why do you think that is?

It's really not too difficult to work out.

@Kals_Els @tclark

@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark because the NYC election was very different from a super rushed election in the entire country. Voting for Harris was a no brainer for people who didn't want what was clearly outlined in Project 2025. See, republicans understand the long game. They consistently voted for candidates they didn't like very much since the 1980s to get what they wanted, extremists on the supreme court and to outlaw abortion. Lots of people I know here in the South said in 2016 they didn't like Trump at all but were voting for him because of the supreme court. And hey look what happened. I haven't been a fan of all democratic presidential candidates over the years but recognized last year was actually consequential. But now moving forward I do hope the old guard who listen more to lobbyists than us get swept out and we get better choices. That is if we get to have free elections again.
@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark BTW I'm happy Mamdani won, I didn't really follow that election except for thinking it was crazy Cuomo might get elected. I hope Mamdani wins the general election.
