Everyone in the US who voted for Donald, everyone in the US who stayed home, everyone who said "they're both the same", everyone who spent months being useful idiots for the fascist party's enthusiasm suppression agitprop by amplifying attacks and attacking Biden and then Harris -- you own this. You are responsible.

There was no higher priority in 2024 than preventing the election of a man who never wanted to govern and only wanted to rule. I fucking warned you, and so many of you blew me off.

@tclark

They are just exactly this evil. Do not doubt or disbelieve.

This us how evil they are. To his is their plan. R

This is what the big bad bill is for.

@tclark chickens are coming home to roost. Shame on you America
@tclark
I had some fuckhead tell me "Oh, because being against genocide is bad somehow.", because I criticized #Mamdani for spreading the "Genocide Joe" bullshit. All of those pictures have been scrubbed from the internet, but they exist.
How is that working out for them now?
Yeah.
We fucking told them.
@Okanogen @tclark "Genocide Joe" was an obvious influence op and I saw so many self-described progressives spread it. Just zero awareness of amplifying propaganda.
@brianvastag @Okanogen @tclark I was so mad at Biden for his Gaza policy but I would have still voted for him and I happily voted for Harris because I read Project 2025 and knew what Trump 2.0 would be like. It's been so much worse than I thought. Democrats just don't understand strategic voting or the saying "winners set policy, losers go home." I'd rather vote for very imperfect candidates we can influence rather than having zero influence plus a fascist like now.

They blew you off? Lucky, those sorts usually just stay in their masters' information bubbles, where I can't reach them at all.

@inthehands

Is engaging in recriminations going to topple a would be dictator and his henchmen? Let's use our energy to fight fascists. I feel less hopeless when I engage in collective action like No Kings or Tesla Takedown protests. The orange rapist loves creating dissension among the resistance, I suspect. I love watching Elon scapegoat and fire his VP of Sales as pro-democracy people boycott his #SwastiCars. United, we win. It's time to get into #GoodTrouble.

@JeffreySmith perhaps if there were more, and more effective social disapproval of people who were Trump's useful idiots in 2016, they might not have repeated the errors four and eight years later.

@JeffreySmith @tclark @inthehands

Tesla Takedown is the only front in this war where we're actually winning. Let's pile on.

"The capitalist has no heart, but harpoon him in the pocketbook and you will draw blood." -- Big Bill Haywood

Oh, and props to whoever it is that keeps sabotaging his rockets. Right on, comrade. Keep up the good work.

@JeffreySmith @tclark @inthehands
The perfect time to be united was Nov 6th 2024.
The genocidejoe crew did not get it then and they're not getting it now.
@Eh__tweet @JeffreySmith @tclark @inthehands Joe Biden, by directly facilitating Benjamin Netanyahu's bloodthirsty and genocidal war on the civilians of Gaza, has himself dismantled the infrastructure of international law and boosted the rise of fascism.
@Eh__tweet @JeffreySmith @tclark @inthehands and to say that we should unite around a Kahanist sympathizer to defeat fascism here is just flat out ridiculous to me.
@JeffreySmith @tclark @inthehands
"Let's use our energy to fight fascists."
Yes. I loved the NoKings protest. It was a big tent, a huge tent of people opposed to fascism. Fascists' joking about hurting people is disgusting. I'll fight them with everything I have.
@tclark Any comment from Latinos for Trump?
@tclark i want to cry
@tclark We cannot blame to each other, 'cause Any which way we were meant to lose it. Since, both sides of the parties are funded by them.

Anti-factual misdirection

@tclark

If I said something like Gaza is a blueprint.

I think we can say very clearly Gaza is the plan for Hispanics.

That’s a whole lot more than 17 million people.

@tclark

Laura Loomer is one loopy lickspittle

@tclark “It’s just for 4 years,” a colleague told me back in 2016. I’ll never forgive her.
@tclark When people say something offensive and then say "I was joking", they were not joking.

@tclark so you think the people who opposed the current genocide and didnt vote for harris are responsible for future potential genocide another president?

Unfortunately you won't see the contradiction, and think all of a sudden now that you can see things more objectively, that this is the moment when things started to break. If we had just voted in that final election despite voting for someone that had never won a primary because the previous president didn't allow it, that the ones who voted third party caused this? Had nothing to do with an obviously morally corrupt Democratic party that says one thing and does another? We should have trusted the Democratic party to only wage one genocide, surely they wouldn't wage two. Ok

@chownthemachine @tclark

They still voted for genocide in Gaza, ethnic cleansing, concentration camps, secret police, the death if everyone who relied on USAID and everything else Trump and Maga do.

This is also the second time they helped Trump get elected.

@tclark

I would first begin by damning the #US #Democrats for giving good people of morality cause to not vote at all in the last election by continuing to support the #genocide in #Palestine and failing to recognise let alone protect the human rights of innocent humans.

Some might even say they’re truly the ones responsible for this US tradition of committing foreign atrocities becoming domestic. #RIP #USA

@jeremy_pm @tclark

Oh they suck for not doing more, but this is on 3rd party voters and non voters just like it was back in 2016. So is all the deaths that have happen and will happen because of USAID being dismantled.

So stop trying to say they didn't want to vote for genocide, because they still voted for it, racial cleansing, concentration camps, secret police and every other thing that Trump and Maga do.

@Kals_Els @tclark

Why is it so difficult for people to understand who is truly responsible for USA’s demise?

To blame those who can’t morally bring themselves to vote for the murder and starvation of innocent human beings rather than blaming the murderous regime of either side of the US government will continue to justify US military barbarity and are destined to continue supporting USAs moral decay and continued decline into obliviation.

You only have to witness the gnashing of teeth at Zohran Mamdani winning NYC mayoral primary from Democrats to understand that there’s no us and them when it comes to the poison that is US politics.

@jeremy_pm @tclark

It's not that difficult to understand, but the way forward isn't to allow fascist to take over and kill more people. It's to keep them out and vote in people like Mamdani to replace the aging party members and actually work towards the type of government we want.

So yes, everything that has happen since Trump took office again is on 3rd party and none voters as much as it's on us democrats. As no matter who you voted, you were still voting for genocide in Gaza.

@Kals_Els @tclark

I appreciate you're young and idealistic but human nature is such that if your govt is banning its own progressive, peace or Muslim candidates from speaking at its party convention but continues to cut public spending as to prioritise ongoing funding of a demonic genocide... people aren't gonna vote for you.

In a democracy nobody owns your vote. Sometimes to bring about the change that's needed things have to hit rock bottom.

Look up the great depression.

@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark I'm not young and think purists who wouldn't vote for Harris sold us out. She was not perfect, but if she was president right now, she wouldn't have axed USAID and there wouldn't be 14 million deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million deaths of children and babies under the age of 5 because of cut aid. She wouldn't have cut Medicaid and the ACA in the US, which is going to result in deaths here. And so on. What is happening in Gaza is horrible but it's only a small part of a global picture. People who voted for Trump or third party based on that one issue not only actually made things worse in Gaza, they voted for millions more deaths around the world.

@Jennifer

Sure, so why aren't you asking why so many people didn't want to or chose not to vote for Democrats in 2024?

Zohran Mamdani is not only a Democrat but an Indian Muslim socialist yet he smashed it out of the park, why do you think that is?

It's really not too difficult to work out.

@Kals_Els @tclark

@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark because the NYC election was very different from a super rushed election in the entire country. Voting for Harris was a no brainer for people who didn't want what was clearly outlined in Project 2025. See, republicans understand the long game. They consistently voted for candidates they didn't like very much since the 1980s to get what they wanted, extremists on the supreme court and to outlaw abortion. Lots of people I know here in the South said in 2016 they didn't like Trump at all but were voting for him because of the supreme court. And hey look what happened. I haven't been a fan of all democratic presidential candidates over the years but recognized last year was actually consequential. But now moving forward I do hope the old guard who listen more to lobbyists than us get swept out and we get better choices. That is if we get to have free elections again.
@jeremy_pm @Kals_Els @tclark BTW I'm happy Mamdani won, I didn't really follow that election except for thinking it was crazy Cuomo might get elected. I hope Mamdani wins the general election.
@jeremy_pm @tclark sorry mate but if both NACTs & Labour does nothing about Palestinian genocide, keeps the housing ponzi scheme going, but NACTs says they will dismantle any sign of Maori sovereignty and deport pacifica people etc, I ain't riding some moral high horse and stay home or vote NZF... These people didn't stay home or voted third party because of principals, they wanted to protect their bigotry, existing wealth and privileges, but feel superior to who they call trailer trash MAGA.

@htpcnz @tclark

Not sure what the point is you’re trying to make.

Firstly NZ has an entirely different electoral system. In your hypothetical scenario MMP allows a vote against either mainstream party to be counted and validate your opposition to the policies of either party in promoting the proportional representation of those policies you support in parliament.

Secondly, many American’s voted for Greens or independents running against the genocidal policies of both Democrats and Republicans but the US political system is sadly rigged against democracy.

I am certainly not advocating for not taking part in the electoral process simply pointing out that blaming those who didn’t vote for Democrats as being responsible for Trump is a failed argument when the actions of the Democrats themselves is what’s responsible for this outcome.

@htpcnz

BTW, I have never voted for National, ACT or NZ First and haven't voted for Labour for nearly 2 decades now but I've also never not voted.

@tclark By the numbers, that doesn't seem to be true. Even if everyone who voted for Biden also voted for Harris, first-time voters still would've given us Trump: https://changeresearch.substack.com/p/kamala-harris-didnt-lose-to-the-couch

My takeaway is that the Dems need a propaganda apparatus no less fearsome than the right wing talk radio circuit; but they don't seem to have identified the problem, if they thing a single "Rogan of the left" will do the job.

Kamala Harris Didn’t Lose to the Couch

New Voters, Not Drop off, Determined Harris' Defeat

@tclark No...its not on Democrats...or third parties. Its on everyone that voted "for the economy" or "for the border." Bad priorities. Bad results. In 2016, it was white women. In 2024, black and latino men. The christians were there for both.
@tclark Eat my ass, you Blue MAGA shill.

@tclark I looked up the original thread and she adds some valuable further context, including more Loomer tweets referencing a figure of 65 million "illegals" - as well as the likely source, that Google's Gemini automated plagiarism machine serves up 65.2 million as the number of all Latino people in the US circa 2023.

So, basically Laura Loomer is an AI bot?
That's a relief.
I was starting to lose faith in humanity.
Now I'm just losing faith in Silicon Valley.
@Caveman1226 @tclark I wish this were so simple. I can't see any moral argument for not simply unplugging a rogue AI.
@tclark All of this was preventable.
Every asshole who didn't #vote because they "weren't inspired" created this disaster.
Every asshole who voted #GreenParty for the Russian whore Jill Stein created this.
Every halfwit who voted #libertarian created this catastrophe.
American #women are sometimes more expert, more educated, and more intelligent than men.
That's a FACT.
We wouldn't be here right now if more people understood that.

@tclark I could not agree more. Voting matters.
Even if you think the choice is between the lesser of two evils - you always select the lesser.

My hope is - and this sounds callous but -I hope what goes on in America right now will wake up many of the increasing non-voters in my own country and show - votes matter.

It might not seem to matter terrible much any singular election, but election after election will add up.
2024 wouldn't have happened if votes were different in 2016 and if some of the many other between 16 and 24 had been different.

@tclark so true, so depressing, so many of us feel like screaming. I'm not of the US, but it shows how easily this happens. Humans are bad.
@Gurre Svagt svar, men ibland drabbas jag verkligen.
