Imagine if in 1944, President Roosevelt had sat down at his desk to write and congratulate Hitler and express his commitment to the success of Nazi Germany.
This US administration is killing the American brand faster than a forrest fire consumes dried-out pine trees in August.

@randahl It's certainly a shabby display, from a regime that's known for that, but your analogy is hyperbolic and inappropriate. We are not in a state of war with Russia. The situation is not even slightly comparable to the US-NSDAP situation of 1944.
The problem, too, is not our government. It is we ourselves. We elected these people. WE are to blame for their actions. What we need to "get rid" of is the cancer within ourselves, the body politic.
Assigning guilt to those who have no agency is unhelpful. We voted for Kamala. The racists voted for Trump, and there were more of them. There is nothing we could have done to change their racism, so there is nothing that we could have done to change their votes.
The bad guys won. We are not immune to that.
Our country has been a haven for refugees from such tragedies for centuries. Now the roles are reversed, and many of us Americans will need to seek refuge elsewhere.
