Also, I’m really glad this toot resonated with folks. I didn’t see the response sooner since I was…well… uhhh.. watching Cosmos. 😂

I have it on dvd and I haven't been able to watch it in awhile because I find it sad.
We are so library of Alexandria-ing ourselves...
He was so cautiously optimistic about our future. And what the F are we doing? ☹️

@osman @internetarchive

I do know who needs to hear this, so I suggest that we pay for the media and not take this amazing production for free.

@snacktraces @osman @internetarchive You know he died, right?

Just send a donation to your local PBS station. Or maybe even multiple PBS stations. Turner is doing fine. Or Warner. Or whoever owns it these days.

@nazokiyoubinbou

I'm pretty sure Sagan would approve even if alive.

And everyone needs to hear this ❤️

@internetarchive

@snacktraces @osman @internetarchive Or maybe a donation to the Internet Archive.
@osman @internetarchive The best thing is how little of that is truly outdated even in all this time.

I did. Thank you!
@osman I did want this! Thank you!
@osman @internetarchive this came out when I was in 8th grade. I watched the series zealously and got the book from my parents for Christmas that year. Its influence over me cannot be overstated.
@osman @internetarchive I still have the book, proud centerpiece in my personal bookshelf. This truly sparked my career in MINT science.
@osman @internetarchive I turned 5 the day after the first episode originally aired. I devoured the series, alongside my father. I didn't understand everything until later, but I was enraptured. Sagan's voice, his words, and the images and music of the series are a lifelong inspiration to me. COSMOS helped shape me into who I am today.

@osman @internetarchive

This is a fantastic Tip. Thank you.
#CarlSagan was far ahead of his Time and belonged to the #People, who could explain #complex #Matters in an easy and understandable Manner. So it will be a #Joy, to watch that legendary TV-Show again. Archive.org is a true Treasure-Box.

@osman @internetarchive

I'm going to need a bigger hard disc...

They have some things I thought I might never see again, like the Betty Boop cartoon of Minnie the Moocher, with Cab Calloway.
