@simonbs

For me, the "Wallet.app" ONLY displays a massive shitty Apple AD, and nothing else. 🤮

I have thus demoted Wallet to a crApp.

Unfortunately, due to the monopoly of Apple, I cannot write my own app for that.

@cdfinder Not quite the same thing. Wallet is the app which saves most credit cards, so it is asking you to do that. ‘Apple Pay’ in this context is just the tap-to-pay mechanism, even if you only add a generic Visa card.

@Vorsos

That is not the point.

Apple is only showing that creepy ad, with no way of removing it without subscribing to crApple Pay, which I do NOT want.

But I cannot see my real cards or tickets, as the non-removable ad is blocking them.

Disgusting upsell and misuse of the monopoly, just like the illegal notifications that nobody else is allowed to do that way.

@simonbs is this about the Fandango ad I got notified about this morning? What kind of shovelware BS was that, Apple...
@simonbs "In light of convicted antitrust violator Apple's ongoing malfeasance, and recidivistic behaviour with regards to competition law; the court hereby imposes a permanent ban on Apple owning, operating, or holding an investment in any form of direct-to-consumer software retail business. Apple is hereby permanently prohibited from direct to consumer; selling, renting, offering by subscription, or bundling with hardware, any software beyond a regulated Minimum Viable Operating System."

@simonbs wrong guideline.

You want 4.5.4.

(Note that iOS 26 still fails because it’s opt-out, not opt-in.)
