I decided to try melatonin so I could hopefully take less delta 8 and still sleep... OMG I am hungover... Only my brain would have more of a hangover from fucking melatonin than it did from weed. But I'm up and pushing through. I'm going to try this for a few days but I think the mornings are going to be extra gnarly until my body adjusts. Thank the Goddess for lots and lots of cold brew Trung Nguyen coffee. I am waiting for my morning meds to hopefully make me more human before exercising.
@Pawpower I can't take melatonin, it gives me viciously bad nightmares, plus it makes me feel like a zombie for the whole next day, and that's on 5mg. I hope it goes better than that for you. I know that melatonin can do a lot of good for most people, I'm just one who can't take it, especially if I have to be presentable the next day. lol
@cary5871 Yeah, I heard it gives people odd or awful dreams. I'm not normally a dreamer, so I was willing to risk it. I just worked out and am feeling less doggie than I was which is a step in the right direction.
@Pawpower I'm glad you're feeling better after working out. Melatonin just makes me want to sleep all day. It's horrible for me. Here's hoping it works awesome for you. ✨
@cary5871 I have a congenital brain malformation so constant unremitting exhaustion has basically been my brand ever since I came into this world and I am really hoping that this stuff doesn't make it worse. For example, I can't take medication like Benadryl or NyQuil because I will literally be too sick to function for 5 to 7 days after taking a child's dose because that is just how my brain processes shit. And you only know once you start taking it. Fun times.
@Pawpower wow, that seriously sucks. so you really don't know how you'll react to a medication until you take it once, that seems like it could be dangerous in certain circumstances. ugh. I feel for you.
@cary5871 Yeah, when I fractured my spine, they gave me pain meds and they caused my digestive system to basically shut down and stop working. So it's always a bit of roulette. If it's going to make most people feel sleepy, it's going to knock me out and then make me so high I can't function for 5-7 days. If it causes minor side effects they might be moderately bad for me. It's a big fat guessing game. Thankfully my body accepts the stuff I take to manage lung disease. Lol
@Pawpower @cary5871 Wow, we're backwards here. We don't take sleeping meds. Meds work really slow for me. Like, a whole hour after.
@tardis @cary5871 Nope am same. It takes longer for it to work, and then it just... keeps... working... long after most people have it out of their systems.
@Pawpower @cary5871 Yep, something similar here. I took anti anxiety meds. Instead of making me feel calmer, I fell asleep, the calming part, obviously, did not work. The only thing that helps me out is a painkiller. Like, a really old brand.
@tardis @cary5871 Yes, they gave me Xanax once. Nope never again! Haha, I mean I wasn't anxious because I was passed out, for hours and hours and then was stoned for like 4 days and couldn't hardly function or think.
@Pawpower @cary5871 Yeah, this one I had was on an herbal basis, it also produced really strange side effects not listed, I know it helps my mother though. And then there are meds that do nothing to me, if they're calming, it's the opposite, absolutely. I once took a medicine for cramps and fell asleep at 3, instead of at 10.
@tardis @cary5871 Yeah, I hear you there once they gave me a anti-nausea medicine in the hospital and it gave me the worst case of anxiety like I was almost suicidal. It was crazy never ever again! Holy crap.
