I see your point but I don't think it's quite true. Perhaps many media outlets are incapable of talking about more than one thing at once, but I have been reading a lot about the following: the continued fascist invasion of L.A., people's newfound support of Medicaid (and fear about its cuts), the Senate parliamentarian's decisions that aspects of the bill can't be passed by a simple majority, et al.
