@Em0nM4stodon When posting photos of yourself online, never post such high definition that you give away biometric data away, that includes your iris closeup, closeup of your fingers (fingerprint). I'd also discourage posting of your face online, but oh well, that cat has ran out of the bag long ago.

People don't realize hand photos are so high quality now you can lift ones fingerprints from it.

@rejzor @Em0nM4stodon

the iris i can see(😄) how that works but whoa, fingerprints! that's wild.

@qaris @rejzor Same for posting high definition photos of keys by the way!

@Em0nM4stodon @rejzor

keys.. cause of like making a mold cast or something else?

@qaris @rejzor Yep! Quite easy to make a working replica from an online photo. Too many people post photos of their keys online when they get a new house and such.

@Em0nM4stodon @rejzor

oh yeah, i now get what you mean.
oof, definitely something to add to the list.

thanks for the heads up. 🙂

@qaris @Em0nM4stodon I'm almost certain you can 3D print a key that's durable enough to unlock a door using plastic material. Hell, with resin you can even hit accuracy easily.

@rejzor @Em0nM4stodon

yeah, that's what i was thinking about as well, 3D printing makes more sense today..

the resin however, i'll have to look into that..

thanks. 🙂

@qaris @Em0nM4stodon Resin is known to be able to make much higher detail models, which might be important for something like a key.

@rejzor @Em0nM4stodon

yeah, i think i now see how that makes more sense as a better option to printing, if available..
