Days?? They'll find glitter in their underwear 5 YEARS from now!

Also, please tell me this is true.

EDIT: a lot of people rejecting this because glitter is not eco-friendly, so I'm adding a link to biodegradable glitter. I'm sure other companies make such a thing.

ht: @PhoenixSerenity !! Also see her comments on this thread, she's done this before & has great ideas!

Edit2: also, feed your fucking mental health and just laugh without analysis once in awhile!

@juliewebgirl please use biodegradable glitter. We don't need more micro plastic
@MBEverding @juliewebgirl if they win, everybody concerned about microplastic will rot in Salvadorian prisons.
@torf @juliewebgirl not really. I will be safe from ice in Germany but from the micro plastic washed in the ocean getting eaten by the fish I eat I am not. Trump being this way is kind of a predictable shit show majority of Americans voted for (just like brexit). It's difficult to find sympathy for a hell Americans actively voted for but at least don't drag our ocean in with this.
@MBEverding @juliewebgirl I wonder if people protesting against ICE and people voted for Trump are the same folks, oder?

@torf @juliewebgirl well they not. but I am sure you can use biodegradable glitter protesting. But since it's a democratic elected leader voted by majority out of stupidity, doesn't mean a minority is entitled to make everyone in the world suffer from it and act unhinged. If you feel personally threatened by ice you are welcome to apply as refugee in my country.

Germany also had a lot of protests against Merz and now he is our democratic elect leader we kind of have to suck it up for 4 years.

@MBEverding @juliewebgirl First of all, should I remind you a percentage of AfD electoral result in our beautiful country, where I technically can't be a refugee due to some personal peculiarities (thanks for the invitation, anyway)? Should I also remind how much environmental damage is generated during military actions on the battlefields, which are not so far away from EU now and do have very high probability to come much closer?

I mean, I would be happy if US protesters could protest their protests in an environmentally friendly way, but I would hesitate to ask them to politely surrender because of failure to maintain low environmental impact of their efforts to protect themselves.

@torf @juliewebgirl AFD and Trumpist republicans are very similar, yet you have 51% of them in USA and until now so far only 24% in Germany. Little Germany takes in 10 times as much refugees a year than the maximum imposed on USA. Hate speech against minorities count here not as free speech and are illegal (if that is what you mean with personal percularities). Yes we have Merz currently breaking EU law but we still have functioning courts that are protected now under constitution.

@MBEverding @torf @juliewebgirl
That's not how democracy works. Far less than 50% voted for Trump fascists, but even fewer voted for "fascism but not those fascists".

Unfortunately there was no option for no fascism.

That trick is a little harder in Europe, but count on them trying anyway.

@leeloo @torf @juliewebgirl https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election trump 49.8% Harris 48.3%. unlike the free demo version 2016, trump won in the premium version, despite project 2025 preview, fair and square and all voters had a preview what chaos would come.
Yes your election system (unlike MMP voting system in Germany and Scandinavian countries for example) makes it favorable for a 2 party system but not voting is just stupid and allows fascism.

Call me un-american, but we won't invade and "liberate" you.

2024 United States presidential election - Wikipedia

@MBEverding How do you stop fascism by voting for one of two viable parties, both of which are fascist?

Also I am doubtful that 49.8% is a percentage of the total population. Just like Brexit had only about 27% of the vote, I think? in the UK when you include all non-voters including those underage or otherwise not registered. "The country" did not vote for that.

@i_cannot_today democratic party does not want to stop democracy and holds to the Paris agreement. There are also less Nazi supporters.

If you did not vote in the election I don't see how you have a right to complain about how things go. Democracy is something you need to take care of. If right wing are more likely to vote ofc Dems will make policies to get voted.

@MBEverding @i_cannot_today
Looking at your post history, I'm pretty sure you didn't vote either, yet you complain just as much about the results as I do.

The only difference between us is that you blame the voters, I blame the fascist parties (both of them).

@leeloo AFAICS, @MBEverding hinted at being in Germany in this very thread, and that likely means they're not a US citizen and not able to vote in US elections. 🤷

Does my comment make more sense if you read it again while assuming that was my point?

I'll give you a hint: Ich bin nie in die vereinigte Staten gewesen.

(That's stretching the limit of my German skills, while I can see across the border from my front door, that does not confer language skills).

@leeloo Oh, yes. *waves from Lübeck to Denmark*
