I take a daily antihistamine, and after the migraine started, I took Pepcid AC, within an hour the migraine was gone. Aerliss@Kellyshenanigans for non-North American folk; Pepcid outside NA does not necessarily contain the ingredient that is doing the work. You're looking for Famotidine.
In the UK it's not OCT, but you can usually get it at a pharmacy with a short consult, if your GP is a pile of garbage. Some pharmacists know about its effectiveness for histamine related inflammation, others you'll have to fudge a bit & say it's for GI & food sensitivity issues. I get mine online.
