This week's #Blendsday prompt is "Well," but I misread and went for "Wall" instead.

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I tidied up my superhero scene a little
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "Crystaline." I made these little guys

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I came back to tackle what I didn't have the fortitude for on the weekend - a tribute to Mr Squishy, my oldest and smelliest friend, who passed away 9 years and one month ago. I have missed him every day since
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "weight." I made this pangolin soldier reflecting on some apparent cost
Decided to go off-prompt for the midweek #Blendsday session and make this sea friend
This week's #Blendsday activity is "Combine," where we're invited to work with a bunch of prompts at once - the prompt generator gave me "obsidian," "hollow," "bird," and "mail." The satchel and bubble wrap came out pretty average, and I probably could've lit it better to communicate that the interior of the broken statue is hollow, but I'm pretty happy in general

Decided to come back to my #Blendsday piece from the weekend and try to make things read a bit better. The camera is animated now, which allows the shape of the bird statues to be more readable, and I coloured the interior of the broken statue to make it more clear that it's hollow. I also
replaced the crappy post satchel with a little crate off to the side. Still not perfect, but it's a long way beyond what I had on the weekend. I would've posted this yesterday, but it took 12 hours to render.
For the midweek #Blendsday session, the prompt generator gave me "egg," "star," "drum," and "painting."
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "Statue." I made this Kurlan naiskos (possibly third dynasty)

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made an Atlantean statue from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
This week's Blendsday prompt is "sand." I made this sandcastle
And here's a video of that one coming together (I had to take a phone call in the middle, which slowed things down a bit >_< )

This week's #Blendsday prompt is "Computer." I made this Amiga monitor (I've got a 360 turnaround animation coming, but it'll take a few more hours to render)
4 hours later #Blendsday

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I optimised my Amiga monitor model a bit to decrease frame render times by a third, and added a mouse
This week's #Blendsday activity is "collaborative scene," where we pick a theme (we settled on "doll house") and spend some time making stuff in isolation that we then share and make our own scenes with. This one's got bits made by myself and Attitude

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made this picnic scene, featuring bits made by myself, Attitude, and Albarnie

This week's #Blendsday prompt is "starfish," so I made this buff starfish.

Starfish was also among the prompts for the first session when I started Blendsday back in February 2022 https://mastodon.social/@Cheeseness/107788743692376329

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made this starfish little diorama
This week's Blendsday prompt is "tool." I took the weekend off and misremembered the prompt as "tunnel" for the midweek session, so I made this spider friend instead

This week's #Blendsday prompt is "skyscraper," so I made this scene of the sky being scraped clean. I painted two little paintings using Blender's texture paint mode, and used a mask to reveal the one underneath.

I got mixed up with last week's prompt of "tool," so it was nice to include a paint scraper here as well

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I revisited my scene from the weekend and worked on improving lighting and readability of the dome.

I had wanted to give motion blur to the paint flecks along their individual direction of travel, but I couldn't come up with a nice way to do that that didn't involve rendering each frame individually.

The #Blendsday activity for this week just gone is "revisit an old project." On the weekend, I poked around with a little grease pencil animation I started ages ago (working on the arrow draw and camera management), and for the mid-week session, I worked on some Fossil Sweeper globe stuff
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "crest." I made this spaceshippy

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I sculpted a cassowary friend
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "flag." I went off-prompt and did a quick sculpt of this little guy

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I stuck with the prompt and made this flag/banner
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "Rail." I took the weekend off and spent the midweek session working on an addon to speed up some Fossil Sweeper work. Nothing to share from me ^_^
This week's #Blendsday activity was "increasing interval studies" where we made 1 minute, 5 minute, 10 minute, and 20 minute versions of the same model. I poked around with using the "skin" modifier to make this low poly lion (it makes terrible geometry, and I spent a lot of time during the 10 minute one cleaning that up, so I didn't end up dealing with that/working the form as much in the 20 minute version)
And here's a timelapse of each of those comping together

Decided to give that one just a bit more attention
For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made some shells
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "channel." I made this lightning redirection scene

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I modelled this scene
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "potato." I had some other stuff on on the weekend, but for the mid-week session, I made this little animation
This week's #Blendsday activity is "three moods" where we're invited to make one scene and try to present it in ways that convey different moods or feelings. I made this camp scene with warm, cold, and damp variants.

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made this little vase scene (would've done it in Cycles with nice fog, but Blender 4.5 doesn't like my kernel and I didn't want to wait for it to be rendered on my CPU
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "ocean." I made this low poly whale

For the midweek #Blendsday session, I made this little sea scene. Would've liked to have given a bit more attention to the crayfriend, and tweaked my procedural gobos to be more in focus, but I ended up I spending all my time on materials
This week's #Blendsday prompt is "gong." I made this bit of Star Trek fan art

I used AO in that scene, which is making some details stand out a little better (such as the layered tiers on the pine trees), but adds a bunch of noise to stuff like wood piles and apple trees. Earlier this morning, I put together a proof of concept, which doesn't use AO, and I think has better feel now that I've taken a little break. Both this and the "harvest" scene do everything with one material (the "harvest" scene uses object viewport colour).
This week's #Blendsday activity is to make something based on a "childhood memory." I've had #Lego on my mind lately (re: https://mastodon.social/@Cheeseness/114946703072226523 )

@Cheeseness oooooooooooh. I really dig that.

honestly really reminds me of Autonauts, which I should pick back up again (though mostly in the palette and geometry, not the chewy pixels)

@Cheeseness wooyah I like the layers, very topographic ❤️
@rh2 Cheers! Plane -> Array -> Boolean -> Solidify gives some nice results
@Cheeseness @rh2 ahh I was wondering how you did that as well. That's clever :)
@kednar @rh2 Yeah! I think I picked the idea up from this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IffdcuHrfIE

@Cheeseness the screen shake was a great touch!
