@w7voa Thank you for your tireless reporting. Regarding this resolution post, I wonder if an extra word or sentence would make a difference in our understanding. Is it a non-binding resolution, a “position against” a directive to the Department of Justice? Or, “…indicates he will oppose…”. Thank you again.

@weigand @w7voa Yeah. I feel like any reporting on EOs/resolutions/whatever like this is highly incomplete without a take from legal experts on whether the law actually allows it, or whether it's just posturing unless/until he succeeds in abolishing the rule of law completely.

@w7voa Wondering if this is legal. But if it is, it could be circumvented by a stiff state excise tax on gasoline from 2035 onwards. It could even start already now and be ramped up, and used to pay for more charging stations throughout the state.
