@nixCraft So the line is drawn. The AI peddlers can steal from artists but not from corporations that use art for profit. Sounds like the american way.

Well this is the logic of capitalism.

Capitalist steals* from you – profits.

You steal** from the capitalist – losses and crimes

* Most prominent example would be value from labour, as per Labour Theory of Value.
** Includes making copies, toilet paper, and not being 110%+ efficient at work.
