@queenbee4ever @Blogfeedser They are NYPD, but from what I have read, this was a ICE detention. The NYPD were trying to go after a group of criminals, and in their attempt to flee, they knocked her over. She called for help, and NYPD falsely arrested her. She was handed over to ICE and held incommunicado, but was released after repeated interrogation. She plans to sue for false arrest.

@queenbee4ever @Blogfeedser What's amazing is just how poorly the NYPD did with providing adequate translation, or they would have known what the problem was. Instead, she was put into ICE limbo, without access to a lawyer.

Terrifying for the victim, so sorry; but hard to believe those victimising her are genuine police - why are there so many of them? Why are they wearing those strange pants? Why are they so deaf to the polite plea of the man trying to help? Why are they not helping? Why are they acting so stupid? Criminal, dumb regime. No point going there, I hope more people get that message. Boycot them for holidays, work trips, and the upcoming sporting tournaments. And frankly boycot as many companies as you can, but not the people.
Oh and make sure if you (have to) fly a long distance, also no layovers in the US.
