I deleted 10 years worth of โ€œPKMโ€ my entire obsidian vault, every apple note, every to do list and every article saved to โ€œread later.โ€

Feels amazing.

@Daojoan STARVE THE MACHINE!!!
@Daojoan it's like that space between jobs. Major life change in the works?
@Daojoan rest in pieces your second brain ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”
@Daojoan that honestly sounds like my nightmare. I suppose I'm happy you're happy hahaha

@Daojoan Remember when we all used to end up nuking our email every couple of years instead of carrying it around for life?

I miss that so much.

@Daojoan "read later" never worked out for me either๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ˜บ but I did run across this picture I made on the beach walk 11 years ago. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿˆ #dolphins

@Daojoan Why? Just why ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I would feel very bad if I were to lose my second brain, I have thousands of things there, and writing became a daily habit thanks to it.

@Gabriel A clean break. A fresh start.

@Daojoan Hoarders in the real world are seen as people who need help but in the digital world it seems to be exact opposite. Good on you!

Does anyone recognise themselves?

"Hoarding disorder is an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions because you believe that you need to save them. You may experience distress at the thought of getting rid of the items. You gradually keep or gather a huge number of items, regardless of their actual value."

@Daojoan my favorite method of cleaning is to move to a new, empty room. Then bring in anything from the old room that I miss. After a week or so, destroy the old room
@Daojoan
To me it would be like cutting a limb (one thay I never use btw, but same feeling)
@Daojoan sometimes I wish to do the same with my bookshelf... Too many to-be-read books. I sell them or gift them when I can but I get it.
