#Meta is giving their millions of users in Europe a phony "legitimate interests" cover-story for circumventing the #GDPR. It's no longer about selling data to 3rd parties, now it's about using data for impersonating people through #MetaAI.
I hope this will be challenged in court. Until then I will continue to use ad-blockers, clear cookies and device IDs, use multiple web browsers, make data as useless as I can, and remind other people to do the same. I don't mind if you call that #Luddism

Establish DNS-based filtering for your home network, e. g. #pihole as a first line of defence. This is hugely effective not only to protect computers, but also those devices w/o an UI to install adblockers & anti-tracking!

I am not defending Meta. They are treasonous bastards. AND the function of good government is to help us bring the bastards to heel. The number of communities on there is large, and Friendica is not ready for prime time. (I wish it was!)
