This month I have the special #hamradio callsign EH5LGBT, and yesterday I used it in a local Morse contest. After a while I started receaving (in morse), "CERDOS CERDOS CERDOS" (PIG in spanish), and later I recieved this email.

I laughed, because I feel proud about myself, and I don't care what these idiots may think.

@IU1KGS @MrAldisaADS Yeah, it doesn’t surprise me that someone who is so utterly butthurt that 3kHz of a few bands, aka a single SSB channel, should be used for a digimode is intolerant about everything else as well. I’m just surprised that they’re confident enough to put their name to their hate mail.

The hobby needs all the operators it can get and if they are FT8 (or Olivia, Hell or DSB) who cares - there's room on the bands for everyone - although I'd draw the line at intolerance.

@jeder Yeah, here in Spain, ham operators have the stereotype of being old people and "fachas" (a kind of fascist in Spain). But most of my young colleagues are queer, sooooooo... :P

@mayu I found it funny, last year I recieved insults in voice mode, bur receiving them in CW requires a whole lot more dedication, and I find it hilarious that there are people dedicating this time insulting someone for using a LGBT callsign... 🙃
