The KX3 is a direct conversion receiver, the local oscillator can leak and be heard on nearby receivers, so there is an optional 10dB isolation amplifier that can reduce leakage, but this is the regular 20dB low noise preamp.
I’m experiencing some spurious signals especially on 20m, they follow the VFO and disappear with the preamp enabled. Notice the notching effect on a noisy waterfall. They only affect the PX3, but they’re huge and get bit annoying when looking for weak signals.

I didn’t realise that these cables were cloth covered. I plan to use them as a replacement for the brittle PX3CBL, something that Elecraft strongly advises against.
