OK, maybe it’s just the #Framadrive instance, but I think I’m done with #NextCloud. It’s been a week and I still can’t make it work decently for collaborative work.

[EDIT: my issues *are* related to Framadrive.]

So I’m giving #CryptPad a fresh try and OMG, everything just works! Immediately! It’s both (much) simpler and (much) more efficient, *and* it’s encrypted as a bonus (#E2EE).

The real-time collaboration is really impressive: reliable and snappy. Loving it.

#CryptPad still has a few rough edges:

• opening a new window takes a lot of time, which becomes an issue if your browser likes to aggressively unload tabs (looking at you, #ZenBrowser);
• the Markdown editor lacks proper #LaTeX support. It’s possible to embed a #MathJax code block, but inline LaTeX is impossible;
• the UI is ugly. Especially in dark mode. It does not reflect the great quality of the project, and that’s sad.

Anyway, give CryptPad a try if you haven’t already!
