People break things down into little pieces and don't take in the whole picture

"Oh you struggle with __? Just __."

"Oh you struggle with __? Just __."

"Oh you struggle with __? Just __."

Not considering complex issues, wherein multiple limiting factors are interconnected

Giving advice that wasn't asked for, because they instead seek to avoid what they see as a burden, the burden of care

They see countering of their minimizing input as making excuses

Let's return this, when I'm asking for help sharing for Sabi and family or anyone, I'm not looking for solutions, I'm looking for support

Answering requests for support with "easy solutions" are invalidating, dehumanizing and infantilizing

It suggests that the problems a person faces aren't legitimate, that the person is simply inept

This is suggestive of perceived superiority

This family has been homeless for over a year

Please consider a perspective and a life outside of your own

Please attempt to see how intersections of disability, poverty, being victims of racism, being victims of xenophobia, and any other thing are not singular things. They all add up. A person doesn't stop being impoverished when disabled, a person doesn't stop being BIPOC when impoverished. It's more likely they all happen at once.

Then add in being homeless and a 24/7 caretaker

#Disabled #Indigenous Latina family, #Homeless in hotel

#SabiLewSounds is disabled 24/7 caretaker for elderly mom with dementia and ESA bun

They need help getting things seen by as many people as possible and wherever possible, funds to help cover the hotel, bills and food
