I am really proud of this talk about adopting #rust, aka #rustlang, at work. I spent many hours thinking about what would work and I am quite happy with the result. I hope that you enjoy watching! https://youtu.be/4DLhTPsg8QQ
Spreading Rust to the rest of the company: Moving past the proof of concept - Tim McNamara
@timClicks This is fantastic! I'm a research physicist (experimental nuclear physics) and I work with a bunch of high energy astrophysics guys. I gave a similar (but not as good, and shorter) talk and was met with a lot of "well that's cool, but why would we go through the learning curve if we have Python?" Any ideas? The physics community is extremely resistant to change and even getting people to jump to Python was a herculean effort.
