In my quest to find a Todoist replacement that doesn't send everything to US cloud providers, I've discovered two Canadian, and two Indian apps.

They're using AWS and/or GCP though, so I've asked them where, specifically, the data is stored. Not ideal though, since it's still controlled by American companies.

I'm going to have to make one, aren't I. 😩

@emd I haven’t seen one yet; I sort of hate web apps, and I need something that runs on my phone as well as my laptop.

I know self-hosting isn't for everyone, but I bet there's several Laravel ones, every dev builds a Laravel to do app, lol

@emd @Taffer $50/year ... that's really tempting, but I'm very much in a cost-cutting phase right now. I'm even letting domains expire! 😱

Edit: and 250/yr sounds like a screaming deal since the renewal would be at that rate ... but no, I can't. I'm not making enough from my hobby efforts.
