Monkeypox virus detections in Australia are down compared to May 2024 but at 146, the year-to-date total is higher than to the same point in 2024 (44; May not complete yet).
2024 was Australia's biggest MPOX year on record with the highest numbers recorded in NSW>>VIC>>ACTS>>QLD/NT>>SA>>TAS.

Age distribution so far in 2025 (146 cases to date) is similar to 2024's overall pattern.

Sadly, I think I've seen that 2024 age distribution before. I lived in New York in the 1980s.
