In my quest to find a Todoist replacement that doesn't send everything to US cloud providers, I've discovered two Canadian, and two Indian apps.

They're using AWS and/or GCP though, so I've asked them where, specifically, the data is stored. Not ideal though, since it's still controlled by American companies.

I'm going to have to make one, aren't I. 😩

@Taffer Todo task managers are a pain to find one that works with our own unique brains. Currently using TickTick. Things looks interesting, but as you say, USA hosting. Took a Quick Look at todo2d.com, but I need app based first.

@Taffer I’d pay the same for the app, or even a small amount extra, to be able to choose my own storage location in these apps.

@outofcontrol if I end working on my own, it’s going to support a variety of storage options, and full e2e encryption

All I need is UBI or a winning lottery ticket 😅

I really just want Todoist or Remember the Milk, but outside the US.
