I’m looking for a new bike trailer to haul bigger stuff around (more than I can throw into my cargo bike, like an entire pallet or so), and was wondering whether there are any #oshw designs/plans out there for bike trailers?

Checked for the XYZ cargo style stuff (square aluminum tubing) but couldn’t find anything there (ping @N55 ?)

Any other ideas?

@oshwassociation I was surprised as well. There seem@to be some instructables, wiki-how guides etc, but nothing official certified or even really marked as OSHW 🧐

The #CarlaCargo out of Europe started as one, - old blueprints can be found - and I think the XYZ stuff I had found files for and should have bookmarked and/or saved I can dig up tomorrow.

@tiefpunkt Bikes at Work, based in Ames, Iowa, US, has light and strong bike trailers that hauled my 8-foot sofa and queen-size bed across the Mission District in San Francisco in the 1990's. Extremely stable, low center of gravity, easy to hitch, but very long to keep in storage. The wheels are always the limiting factor to carrying capacity.
