Here is the Co-founder of #SubStack talking about "new social media"

He wants people and creators to be more in control and not be subseptable for things like being blocked or banned on platforms like FB or IG

But the "solution" he offers (Substack) is basically exactly the same right? Only now they control the flow of money and who gets on the platform

It's not a solution, just moving the problem

@stux I used to self host my ghost instance, but it was very tricky to create friends and family group for hidden posts, I had to add £1/year tier with stripe haha. Ended up using dockerised Wordpress! Upshot is it also works as fedinet server publishing directly as acticitypub server
