Gone Fission! by Rhys Wynne

Local multiplayer board game for people who like 8-bit explosions

The object of this board game is to try and eliminate all other players by creating chain reactions. It's simple to play, but with 3 difficulty levels and local multiplayer, it can be tough.

It's based on a PD game for the Atari ST (and a bunch of other machines), and it is a tribute to the Public Domain scene of the early microcomputers.

I've put a post about it on my site here.

@rhyswynne Congrats :)

I actually tracked down the original developer aruond 2014! It was released first for the Sharp MZ in 1982 as Exploding Atoms by the owner of Knights Computers in Scotland, inspired by a board game they saw on a trip to the USA. Damned if I can find the article I wrote about it now though :/

@nivrig bloody hell! That's amazing. Would love to read it if you do find it 🀞

Fantastic! That was great reading. Shows the value of preservation of websites.

@Sloanysoft @rhyswynne Thanks chaps. I should really recover those posts and add them to my current blog ... for history!

Just glad I wasn't alone in enjoying this game as a child!
