I personally believe that most effective way to speed up CW receiving is by practicing ICR (Instant Character Recognition). This method has had the largest effect on my receiving. Even short practices seem to have noticeable effect.

I previously released iOS App for this and now it is available as web based. Remember to use physical keyboard!

Go a head and try it! Post your results too!

Morose - CW practice

What is ICR you might think. It's end result is that one instantly "thinks" of character after the sound-chain (of dits/dahs) is heard. Like in a split second, immediately.

The faster your brains "decrypt" the sound-series, the faster you can receive. Or in other words: the easier it gets.

And the key is: keep the WPM enough high that you cannot count dits/dahs. 20 is absolutely minimum and 25 is more like it.

@OH3CUF This is a great tool! The only thing I am missing is a pause button, to get a longer streak, when something is interrupting me, hi
@DL6PL Wow Peter you have been progressing! Nice!
@OH3CUF Thank you! Yes, it got a lot easier after I got on the bands.
@OH3CUF Excellent tool :) Thanks
@OH3CUF Do you the link to the iOS app?
