@timjclevenger It's dangerous to hit people with that much irony, there should be a warning.
@timjclevenger
Saw this, today, on my mobile.
@timjclevenger It's nice to finally have an article that cuts right to the point.
@timjclevenger I assume this is after dismissing the 'Subscribe to our newletter or you suck' popup with the one pixel square close button and the video screen will pop up once you dismiss 'About Cookies On This Site'
@timjclevenger about: config> javascript:enabled = False ✅
@Snake_B @timjclevenger not on android you dont. this is Mozilla’s treachery, how they borked the mobile browser to bring it more in line with Google’s true purpose with android: surveillance as operating system.
@timjclevenger Every once in a while I end up on the web for something quick on a system that doesn't yet have ad blockers. Every time, I am horrified it's worse than I remember from the previous time.
@timjclevenger It is scary now I run @librewolf that a lot of website's just social engineer you to give you this consent. It all could work very easy without cookies, but they just do it so you basically can choose to either be annoyed every-time you visit the website or you accept. Talking about websites as Aliexpress and Amazon, but I guess most big commercial websites are designed to force tracking cookies on you.

@timjclevenger

They didn't even have to bother to write the article. Just the headline and let their own policies do the rest.

@timjclevenger So many peeps still using substack, which is inaccessible if you don't subscribe. I don't boost, or even favourite, anymore. You got cookies? I don't want cookies. Bye!
