That place became a huge island after Mars got areoformed in #KimStanleyRobinson's #GreenMars .

The map shows a number of places from the #MarsTrilogy, the canal that filled Hellas Planitia with water from the north, and the trip that Sax and Coyote took together to see the making of the canal by the "soletta", the space lens that burnt rock.

The first colonization of Mars occurred, in #KSR's fiction, in 2026.
