@osuosl has been around for 22 years. They kindly host our gitlab for 6 months now, and provide important services for more than 150 other free and open source software communities such as @alpinelinux, @chimera , @debian, @fdroidorg, @gentoo, @gnome, @LineageOS, #ReplicantOS, @torproject. Now their future is in jeopardy 😢

We usually don't ask this, but please boost for reach, this is important infrastructure for so many FLOSS projects!

@postmarketOS @osuosl yes. whenever I try to enter it it seems to be reformatted as an American one. pasting it with the 0 at the start leads to the final digit getting cut off, and with or without the 0 it's reformatted as an American one so I'm not sure if it'll be okay if I submit it

@rexo @postmarketOS @osuosl I simply met the beginning of my phone number (it seems "+" has to be replaced by "(011)" for the US) and put my real phone number in the comments, I don't really think it matters too much.

@postmarketOS I was aware that they hosted some important projects, but I had no idea that the scope of their work was of this magnitude. It’s an incredible contributions. What’s a sad world we live in where they’re so lacking in funding.

@postmarketOS @osuosl @alpinelinux @chimera @debian @fdroidorg @gentoo @gnome @LineageOS @torproject #X2Go is affected as well, though "only" our ppc64(le) infrastructure. Intel-based Win/Lin builds happen on our own infrastructure in Germany and macOS builds in Switzerland.

Reading https://osuosl.org/services/ it doesn't sound that this could be easily done by some people in their free time.

💭 Preciso urgentemente parar de inventar coisas que ficam na fila de afazeres antes de conseguir terminar a maioria das atividades que já estão esperando, mas outra coisa que eu gostaria muito de puxar na universidade — após convencer os  a permitirem — seria o espelhamento de alguns repositórios selecionados para ajudar o #SoftwareLivre tal qual @osuosl@fosstodon.org faz há tanto tempo!

[en] I urgently need to stop coming up with new things that end up in the TODO queue before finishing most of the activities already waiting, but another thing I’d really like to push for at the university — after convincing the  to allow it — would be mirroring some selected repositories to support #FreeSoftware, just like @osuosl@fosstodon.org has done for so long!
