The original story screenshot was taken at N.P.R. and the admin is already denying that the system is the one discussed by the whistleblower. 
Unfortunately the only way to be certain what was going on would be for the admin to be more open with us. If you prefer the insider view then this is a thing. What we don't have is a mouthpiece in the cabinet that everyone will trust. This is why you don't make dumb public statements. Most onlookers will err on the side of breach suspicion.
