Give up the military? Let them keep it, but has to stay 500 km away from European borders, but in return they have to give the Security Council permanent seat to India.

@Gurre @skykiss I did wonder why Russia inherited the security council seat from the USSR. I know nukes is the answer but it was never Russia's. I dune think it should go to India though better to just have one less permanent and more floating I would think.

Russia did get all the old Soviet nukes, had a vast majority of the land area, kept most of the economy, kept most of the army, navy, and airforce, kept the space program, kept the fmbassies, etc.
It felt obvious to most.

The point of the permanent seats is to make the de-facto great powers buy into the UN & Security Council as a whole. Keep them inside it.
And the permanent seats including having a veto does that.
Wish it wasn't needed, but it is.

And replacing a fallen power with an ascending one gives the security council more authority.
I'd prefer if the UK and France got replaced by the EU and the African Union too, and 2 No needed for a veto. But would China & US & UK & Fr agree to that?
