This clip from “Dinosaurs” (1994) was 40 years ahead of itself.
@i0null It really wasn't though. It was right on time.
@i0null isn’t this just a universal truth about humanity though… I think this clip is timeless. Humanity started fucking with the environment thousands of years ago, and back then the technology was just spears. Real nifty for hunting megafauna. Hey, where’d it all go? Oh well, time to invent agraculture. I’m sure the soil will be fertile forever.
@_r @i0null Is there a consensus the megafauna were extinct by humans? Afaik it's still debated if it was humans, climate change or a combination.
Also, in most places the soil was managed just fine until colonization/industrialization and its demands for ever increasing yield from the central of empire.
@Mabande @i0null I think at the very least it was a combination of both. Not just for the sake of the argument, I just personally think it's more plausible. as for soil, I do mean modern yields. Deforestation in Europe might have been a better example since it became problematic way earlier.
@i0null Awesome show it was and still is!

@i0null there were actual dinosaurs part of the show...

The suits used oil...

:p
