Some folks sort of trip over Lincoln's point that we are a nation dedicated to a proposition.

Most can swallow hard and accept equality. Sort of.

The second part of that founding proposition, the part that gets skipped over, the part about inalienable rights, is a killer.

That's why due process as a universal right of every human is so hard for them.

They can't accept that we are literally founded on that principle. They reject Abraham Lincoln as left wing.
