new account, so an #introduction is in order.

I’m a longtime sysadmin and occasional contributor to weird open-source operating systems. I’m old enough to remember Usenet but not CP/M. I’m a cis woman from the US and a reformed pick-me girl.

I like network protocols that allow the attacker to specify offsets in the data stream. I like programming languages that help me make better implementations than I otherwise would. I like cleaning and fixing old hardware.

I would like to see pictures of cats.

@cat_pictures_please I remember CP/M although never used it. I wrote an OS from scratch for my 6502 that looked like CP/M a bit.

I'm on this instance mostly for other things, including cat photos as well. Welcome aboard!

@Dianora Thanks! I keep hoping to find time to do a 6502 assembly project. a link to a friendly little app for learning it was floating around last week - maybe I should have caught it 🤔
@cat_pictures_please Ah neat! I did a lot of 6502 asm years ago. Very RISCy random logic CPU which make it very fast. I also wrote an Apple ][ emulator in 68K asm. I try to keep my other side on another instance other than here. ;)
