On a thread about open source getting fucked over by corporate interests, I made a post about left-pad, and I've got someone actually in my fucking mentions saying 'that guy was petty and enjoyed causing chaos with his little library, he should've been more respectful'.
No, you fuck, left-pad dude got fucked by corpos and he pulled the lever he had. Fuck 'em, and fuck NPM.
I hope Kik and NPM die in their (corporate) sleep, leaving nothing in history other than the wikipedia page for left-pad.

Jono@DarkestKale Still insane to me that production sites relied on a live file to run.
But I've since learnt that some plugins in Electron apps like VScode also do the same thing (if you try to run them behind a proxy, the plugin will just straight up fail)
