Ok, I have an odd quasi mutual aid request:

Are there folks who would like to send me their old corded (not bluetooth) headphones and/or earbuds? Like just mail me kit you don't use.

I don't have any backups any more and my fav headphones need repairs, so want to stock up on other options.

I am in Ontario Canada, fyi for shipping feasibility.

Tagging #actuallyAutistic because ya'll know how important headphones are. 💛

[edit: got help on the headphone parts hunt, thanks!]

On a related note, any AV nerds that can point me to where I can order replacement parts for these Bowers and Wilkins headphones?

It's got a nice click in and out cord, and squishy pads that pop off. Should all be fixable, but it's not my wheelhouse and my cog is trashed so searching this stuff out shreds my brain.
I'm in Canada, fyi re shipping etc.
Links and leads appreciated.

@vlrny I think these are your model, with the parts available as listed. Looks like the ear pad is no longer available though, if that’s what you’re looking for:

@vlrny not really an Amazon fan but there are some aftermarket options: https://www.amazon.ca/Ablet-Replacement-headphones-Sheepskin-Cushions/dp/B06XC4H25W
@bucknam these links are super helpful Alan, thank you!
Just having a part number is huge.
I am with you re Amazon, but if it keeps otherwise awesome headphones out of the landfill... sometimes ya gotta pick which part of what power ya fight. ✊
eBay probably had similar eh? Will explore that on the weekend when I have more brain chuff.

Ooops, this was from 2022.
There was a repair cafe held at UofG on March 22 this year.

@wwfsmd ooo thanks for this. I am still struggling to get out of the house for things, but am hella jazzed to know Guelph has repair cafes going on. Will bookmark this and circle back, always lots of lil things to repair.
@vlrny I've got at least one set of buds you are welcome to. (probably more but couldn't get my hands on them ATM)
@Alison ooooo! Think yer local, eh? This sounds like an excellent excuse to meet up for a walk. 😃
@vlrny Ahh my dear. Happy to meet up but walking doesn't work for me. I can hardly get around. Yes local. Just south of the car wash on Gordon.
