Did anyone have a CD audio player back in the day that featured CD+G video output?

I got my first CD player in 1985, a Pioneer PD-5010 which had CD+G output, but I never had the cable and didn't have the tech sense to search for it beyond just the local Circuit City.

I never saw the visuals. 😠

@blakespot The only one I have is the Amiga CDTV. The only disc I have is Information Society (self titled).

@paulrickards Interesting; it was a Fb post showing an Information Society CD+G still that got me thinking about this.

Amiga CDTV. I hadn't thought about that.

I have a PS3 and a PS4 attached to TVs here in the house -- I'll bet they support the output on playback...

@blakespot Some CDROM drives had custom drivers to read and extract the "+G" data.

There were also a lot of Karaoke devices back then that read CD+G discs and then display the text through a composite output hooked to a TV.

@blakespot My first player was a Sears LXI, purchased in Oct. 1985. My first CD was “Comminqué” by Dire Straits. 😄
