@georgetakei

They all went to Derek Zoolander's Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and want us to be forced to go there, too.

The only problem with this analogy is Zoolander is smart and brilliant and these people are utter doofuses (and fascists). I am giving them my best blue steel look.

@cindyweinstein Also, I don't believe any of us could fit in that school.
@georgetakei because misspelling words is whats wrong with the assault on education?
@joshwaa @georgetakei it's a sign about installed "loyalty over profesionalism" rule.

@georgetakei I had to find out if this was real or photoshop, and I admit I am surprised it was real.

The Viral Embarrassing State Supreme Court Mistake

UPDATE: Louis' Nana speaks out about how the mistake happened.

@billclawson @georgetakei thx for finding the source
@Frannoval The third example there seems to be partly phonetic, as that's how many people there pronounce it: "looze-ee-ANNA".
@billclawson @georgetakei I am not, but I live in Louisiana.

@billclawson

«The Justices were very troubled by the inadvertent error»

Shouldn't that be "mistake" rather than "error", since I would hope they actually knew beforehand how it should be spelled?

@georgetakei

@billclawson

OMFG. My mind was made up that this was fake. I thought there’s no way. Thank you for providing a source. 🙌🏻

@georgetakei

@markwyner @billclawson thank you from me, too!

That’s crazy … are they hiring the cheapest possible artists and not doublechecking their work?
@georgetakei

@ArneBab
Well, I can see how LLM might be competitive.
@markwyner @billclawson @georgetakei
@yacc143 if that’s the standard it competes against, yes …
@markwyner @billclawson @georgetakei
@georgetakei And as always they only call her “Louis (sic!) nana” instead of calling her by her name.
@georgetakei
Na na nana
Na na nana
... Hey,
not sure where I'm going with this.
@ipd
Nanananana life is life oder nenananaa I liked both songs.
@georgetakei
@georgetakei So they changed the spelling.

@georgetakei

This is in a supreme court??

Can't be true!

OK, it's in the US, that says all folks!

@georgetakei Mike Johnson is terrible at graphic design.
@georgetakei it's even worse is when you realize the size of the crowd around them.

@georgetakei

... hey hey hey...good bye...

@georgetakei

And they only just began…

@georgetakei

I tried to look for the website of the Louisiana Supreme Court (I thought the image came from there and wanted to verify myself).
Went to the url https://www.lasc.org/
and this is what I got:

@hadon @georgetakei

Still down after 2 full days.

@antipode77 @georgetakei oh, wow, thanks for keeping up, I had not even noticed.. but after your update, I tried to find out if there was any info on the La Supreme Court , and guess what I found! :/

"After both the Supreme Court of the United States and the Louisiana Supreme Court on Tuesday denied stay requests for a condemned prisoner on death row, Jessie Hoffman was put to death by the state of Louisiana in the state's first execution in 15 years."

Louisiana executes Jessie Hoffman; the first execution in 15 years

Judge opens hearing on whether Louisiana can execute condemned prisoner

@antipode77 @georgetakei

This is awful! I tried to know more about the guy that was executed and found this in Wikipedia:
"He was executed by nitrogen hypoxia on March 18, 2025, marking Louisiana's first execution in over fifteen years and its first use of nitrogen gas."

It was the first execution in 15 years, and and first with gas :/ Made me think of the nazis.. but it's important to note too that gas was previously used in Alabama (January 2024).

@georgetakei But, what about Louis' Nana? Is his grandma ok??
@georgetakei That US 20%~ illiteracy rate is shining through 😳
@georgetakei Seems as they would need education most.
@georgetakei we will take over Cannada as soon as we can spell it
@georgetakei
"Children in England have a paralinguistic way of crowing ‘you can’t catch me’ and showing defiance or provocation. It is to sing ˈnɜːˈnɜːnəˈnɜːˈnɜː to this tune."

Children in England have a paralinguistic way of crowing ‘you can’t catch me’ and showing defiance or provocation. It is to sing ˈnɜːˈnɜːnəˈ...

@horstworst This melody, or ones very like it, appear to be nearly universal, and no one's sure why. The legendary maestro Leonard Bernstein considered that there may be universal tonal structures that appeal to humans. These seem especially common among children, which seems to strengthen that conjecture.
@georgetakei -Louis-yes-yes is a better date than louis-na-na😬
@georgetakei Y’all been reading that soft sabotage handbook and your don’t recognize the handiwork of a fellow devotee?
@georgetakei This picture shows that the DoE clearly serves no useful purpose, so why not get rid of it? Replace it with something that actually works!
@georgetakei Proof that we are living in a simultation.

@georgetakei Who needs eduction to learn spellng?
@georgetakei yep, don’t need that department of education at all.
@georgetakei well they clearly made up "Louisnana"
@georgetakei LOL! Speaker Johnson wants Americans to go back to "Louisnana's" toddler speak so no one will understand & question the verbal trash spit out of Trump's demented mouth.
@georgetakei
Yes, close the Department of Ed u mi cation! LMAO!
