I don't really know the rules... I kind of adapt thanks to collective dynamics and moderation decisions by trial and error, put warnings sometimes... And also for the case of such a meme, the absence of this information tends to have additional impacts, it's a part of it in some way. So giving the info when someone just asked is a way to respect reality when asked because needed, and perhaps our interaction created a convenient optimum for this stuff ?
