Listening to Poilievre's new stump speech, I'm wondering if this new obsession with opening up the Ring of Fire for resource extraction is his own personal "America, if you're listening..." plea for electoral interference.

Both Poilievre and Ford are suddenly obsessed with making sure Americans can access our critical minerals as quickly and inexpensively as they demand, Canadian laws and priorities be damned.

That's not leadership, that's capitulation.

@dcdeejay After reading Ford’s ‘Fortress AmCan’ the federal government bears the preponderance of responsibility. Poilievre’s obsession with private-public partnerships, favouring profit, will likely not be servicing Canadians or Indigenous communities but corporations with the people touted as benefiting the most being the ones living with the cleanup, fighting once again for federal funds to repair the damage caused by the very projects raping their land.
