The action went very well! Hopefully I'll have some photos/video to share but in the meantime enjoy this incredible interview from one of the organizers 😲

Cyclists protesting bike lane removal in Toronto

Cyclists gather at Queen's Park to protest the removal of bike lanes in the city.

Coverage by the CBC too. Four of our organizers delivered a letter to Stantec, reminding them of the engineering code of ethics. Stantec's engineers are making themselves responsible for the future traffic violence on Toronto's roads.

Somewhat ironic: It's because of Stantec that Edmonton has a downtown bike grid. They basically designed it pro bono for the city so that their employees could safely bike to their new HQ in the core.

@Daveography Yeah I was surprised that they took this on based on some of the other projects they've undertaken.

@cargot_robbie Whoa! We’ve long admired work of Toronto bike advocates, including their Cycling Handbook in 14 languages: https://www.cycleto.ca/torontocyclinghandbook. We link to that handbook on our site’s β€œOther Languages” [other than Spanish and English] page.

Photo is some Toronto cyclists we met in 2011, biking in city of Monterey.
