Got the message + reports from about a dozen different servers already. Always the same message, always that frustrating "Hi, I'm Nicole! But you can call me the Fediverse Chick :D"
If there wasn't that damn smiley at the end, it would be more annoying. At least we have the ":D"

BirdI haven't recieved any of the spam myself but based on some data I have from my instance, I strongly suspect somebody on the Fediverse is involved, most likely as the victim.
Just thought to add that it appears they may have had their account suspended, so there is evidently something which has been going on

I remember last year, or so, @christian created a python script ( https://github.com/perryflynn/fediscripts ) to deal with some spam that detected images (hashed from @chris spam gist) that were being used for Mastodon spamming.
Has anyone tried to come up with anything that detects "fediverse chick" in the profile with a combination of Nicole for a username?
My small instance of Nicole, the Fediverse Chick, DM spam is growing
