Be honest: do you know the difference between Pasturized and Homogenized?

I grew up on a small dairy farm. I buy my milk from a very small local farm, and I know the difference. I buy milk that is Pasturized but not homogenized. But I’m learning many folks don’t know the difference. Do You?

@Aminorjourney Did you know that goat milk is naturally homogenized? Cool eh? 🐐 🐐
@Aminorjourney but only because I worked in the dairy department of a grocery store that sold unhomogenized pasteurized milk.
@Aminorjourney This (along with the meanings of the various bottle tops and the nutritional value of milk) was taught to us by Milk Marketing Board propaganda in primary school.
@Aminorjourney yes, because I asked my mother what was meant by the text on the milk packaging as soon as I started reading.
@Aminorjourney I do. I sometimes make cheese at home.
@Aminorjourney Yes, but every time I say either I pause for a second to make sure I got it right. I used to by unhomogonized milk before I moved and prefer it but don’t know where to get it here. But always pasteurized; no listeria for me, thanks!
@a I can help with the sourcing! These guys are good http://www.schochdairy.com/

@Aminorjourney Yes, although now I'm wondering where I learned about those -- pasteurizing was probably talked about in school, but homogenizing? Anyways, I think I've never seen supermarket milk that wasn't both, and the milk we get from the farm is neither.
@cm I would advise to always have pasteurized. Even Ernie, the fastest milkman in the west would say that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e1xvyTdBZI

@Aminorjourney That's easy, one flies by your face, the other is made gay by someone named Genevive.
