😂 found it in my phone while cleaning up storage 😆
@nixCraft This is most (internal) clients requesting for a website from us.
@nixCraft if you set the date to the result of a lambda function, you're all good.
@nixCraft There's going to be some serious crunch needed to get through those last few dates in time.
@piper I hope, you do not have to deal with too much scope creep. @nixCraft

@nixCraft this is great because it is pretty precise.

How long will it take is such a bad question, if they don't even know what they want yet.

@nixCraft It's agile! This way you are much more flexible. You can decide to marry someone completely different at any point in the project.

@nixCraft

We sold this thing. We don't have it, we never made it before, we don't know how to make it and we need it by Tuesday.
- Literally software salespeople.

@Gjoel @nixCraft And we're not sure what the customer wants it to do, but they want it in yellow.
@nixCraft But it makes total sense. We also need a solid estimate how expensive the wedding will be before we can spend any money on the first date!
@nixCraft don't even know who she is yet
@nixCraft the typical german way to force digital things.... *lol*

@nixCraft

I was lead on a software project. Did detailed estimates. 10 months.

7 months later, I was summoned to a meeting with senior management to explain why we were late.

It turns out that the VP in charge had promised it in 6 months.

I produced my estimates.

She was fired on the spot and escorted first to her office, then to the door.

@nixCraft it’s more “I’ve set the wedding date. I’ve not met her yet”
@nixCraft And by the same kind of people.
