What's the most common feedback/comment I've received over the past month? "I used to like reading your stuff when you didn't write about politics all the time."

My response: Me too. But they've left me no choice at this point. If you think tech isn't politics and vice versa, you probably don't believe national security and cybersecurity are two sides of the same coin, either.

I used to be as neutral in my career and tech as possible. For years I found it distasteful to discuss politics on LinkedIn, etc and would not do it

When I accepted the role of CIO for a State Elections Board, a requirement was I had to sign an agreement to remain 100% politically neutral to hold the position. It was an easy thing to do as I've never belonged to a party and my personal societal views actually encompass some highly conservative as well as highly liberal beliefs

For me this isn't actually a political argument. This frankly is an honesty, integrity, and Democracy argument. We are being poisoned by a growing culture that finds the ends justify the means, no matter how evil those means may be.

And I find that it is something I cannot stay quiet about.

If people don't like what you are saying Brian, perhaps they should look to themselves. These are not normal times.
