@Vivaldi "Is Vivaldi Open Source?"
Short answer: no.

@smyru @Vivaldi "Note that, of the three layers above, only the UI layer is closed-source. Roughly 92% of the browser’s code is open source coming from Chromium, 3% is open source coming from us, which leaves only 5% for our UI closed-source code."

I can't figure out how to get reader mode in iOS, or to get it read aloud.
iOS does have the Spoken Content, but it's awkward af to get it at a good speech rate.
When I want to have a page read to me, I open it in Safari. Vivaldi is the second alternative browser I've tried. The first time, I reset my default back to Safari, and I may do that again.
Reader Mode has not been implemented in Vivaldi on iOS just yet, but it's on our radar.
As for reading the page content aloud, you can upvote the feature request on https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/68495/read-aloud-feature (ignore the fact that only Android is mentioned in the topic).
@Vivaldi why I would switch from fully open source browser with independent engine to a closed on based on crapware chromium?
Maybe think about adopting servo/gecko?
BYE Firefox, hello Vivaldi!
@Vivaldi Liking Vivaldi so far. 👍Quite a few improvements of Firefox.
QQ - how can I save an 80% view settign as default? Every time I open a new tab it resets to 100%.
That's good to hear!
Re: Zoom. Go to Settings > Webpages > Default Webpage Zoom and disable "Use Tab Zoom".
@Vivaldi Amazing - thank you!
Can I be cheeky and ask one more. When I right click to "open link in new tab" is there a way I can stop the new tab from becoming the focus, so I stay on the tab I'm already on?
EDIT - Don't worry, I found it! Super easy to search in settings. 😊
Yes, this change unfortunately affects us too.
We won't know for sure whether there's something we can do about it until we see the actual changes to the code.
In the meantime, we'll continue improving Vivaldi's built-in Tracker and Ad Blocker.
