I am 60, I am #Vegan, and I just learned how to make chocolate from scratch.

This has been kept from us. It is eye-blinkingly easy. The effort : reward ratio is beyond what you can imagine, because everything you can imagine starts and ends with chocolate.

Nestlé, Hershey, Mars you motherfuckers, now I know Kung Fu.

@TheBreadmonkey @goodthinking what I have learned from this is that chocolate is made by taking cocoa beans apart and then putting them back together again in a slightly different ratio

@afewbugs @TheBreadmonkey It’s beyond great. It’s one of those moments where 30 years of internet Visa gives you that .1% cash back reward. Also, I really hope that was Dutch I saw in his profile, I am the American dumbass to get that wrong.

@goodthinking @afewbugs @TheBreadmonkey given he has an entry saying "Language: Dutch, English, German, a little bit French" I'd say yes... I wouldn't trust myself to distinguish between Dutch and Flemish, but Dutch VS German, definitely
